Delete Your Account

Delete from the app

1. Open Emotionary and sign in to the account you want to delete.
2. Open Settings.
3. In the Account section, choose Delete account.
4. Read the confirmation and choose Delete Account to confirm.

The app confirms when deletion succeeds. If it shows an error, the deletion has not been confirmed; check your connection and try again.

What is deleted

Deletion removes your Emotionary authentication account from our service and clears the sign-in session on the device where you delete it. It is permanent. Creating another account later does not restore the deleted account.

Limited records may be retained where legally required or for security and the handling of privacy requests. Residual backups are removed through their normal retention cycle. See the Privacy Policy’s deletion section.

What stays on your device

Favorites, progress, and preferences are currently stored locally and remain after account deletion. To remove that app data from an iPhone, use Settings → General → iPhone Storage → Emotionary → Delete App. Offloading the app keeps its documents and data.

Word-card images you saved to Photos or shared elsewhere are not removed by deleting your account. You can remove those separately from the places you saved or shared them.

Apple access, subscriptions, and the book waitlist

If you used Sign in with Apple, also remove Emotionary’s access from your Apple account after deleting your Emotionary account. Deleting your Emotionary account does not automatically remove it from your Apple account permissions. This extra Apple step does not delay deletion of your Emotionary account.

If you have an Apple-billed subscription, cancel it in your Apple account; account deletion does not cancel billing.

The book waitlist is separate. To remove your waitlist email as well, send a waitlist-removal request.

Cannot access your account?

Contact support@emotionarybook.com for deletion help. Include the account email and sign-in method. We may need to verify ownership before handling an account request. Never send your password or a sign-in code.
